Red Lion Holiday Park is an ideal location to enjoy the many and varied attractions of both Arbroath and Angus. Arbroath is a picturesque east coast fishing town (home to the famous "Arbroath Smokie"). With your very own holiday home at the Red Lion Holiday Park you can take a break whenever you like, between March and October. Family and even friends, if you wish, can take advantage of it whenever you are not using it yourself. Pop in for a weekend break, a fortnight away from it all or even stay away the whole season. With a holiday home the choice is yours. We have a range of the latest Holiday Homes available for hire. The Holiday Homes are all the latest 35' x 12' wide models and are available in gold and platinum models. All are fully equipped including linen and feature cable television. The small intimate Caravan Park is a fine base to explore the East Coast of Scotland or the glens of Angus. Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother, is nearby, as well as other National Trust for Scotland properties. ideally situated for a touring stopover. You are greeted by the large white farm building with its historic mill where, in the past, 2 horses powered the thrashing machinery. It is now our Coffee Mill Cafe and Restaurant where you can enjoy a daytime lunch or an evening meal ( Friday, Saturday and Sundays only) or, of course, just a cup of tea or coffee with home made cakes or bakes. Our traditional Scottish "High Teas" are very popular and great value - but do book your reservation first! The Caravan Park is open to caravans, motor homes and tents from the end of March to the end of October. It is spacious and considered quiet (except for some road noise) and in the last 2 years has been upgraded and improved. As well as the showers and toilets in the main building, there is a recently constructed new toilet/shower block in the park. The site is split into two fields, both generally level. The main field has a choice of level hardstanding pitches or grass pitches with plenty of space for recreation as well as an adjoining play area for the children. The second field also has serviced seasonal pitches on hard standings as well as a caravan storage area. Dogs and pets (under control) are welcome. Buses will stop outside the entrance for Forfar and Dundee, the nearest supermarket is 1.5 miles away and a 24-hour Tesco 2.5 miles away.
