A quiet Countryside Park situated 1.5 miles N of M6 (J44) on right of Galashiels road at Blackford. Ideal location for that overnight break on your travels North to Scotland or as a base for touring Hadrian?s Wall Country. Close to the Historical City of Carlisle, the Northern Lakes and the Scottish Borders, with nearby golf, salmon and trout fishing, horse riding, level country walks and historical houses and gardens. Most of the visitors to this peaceful retreat come as strangers and leave as friends, only to return on a regular basis, assured in the knowledge that the site is expertly tendered by Barbara and Murray Inglis, who have been operating the site for over 30 years. It?s the little things that make all the difference, attention to detail, the real Cumbrian welcome and the beautifully cared for gardens. The site is renowned for its cleanliness and hygiene and Barbara and Murray ensure that this reputation is honoured and maintained.

Hall More Caravan Park is a peaceful holiday park set amongst acres of meadow and woodland in the Arnside and Silverdale 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in the Southern Lake District. Renowned for the variety of walks and wildlife, friendly people and relaxed atmosphere, Hall More is a wonderful place to get away from it all and unwind. Hall More is a small and friendly caravan park surrounded by countryside and renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a second home. All the plots are individual with limestone path gardens and mature trees affording privacy. Hall More is ideally situated for a short break or an extended holiday. The local area offers numerous activities such as horse riding, golf, fishing and fell walking, and is surrounded by lots of little villages with a variety of restaurants and cafes. The quiet coastal areas of Arnside and Silverdale are just a short drive away in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' that includes the nationally acclaimed RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss. You can be in Windermere and the Lake District within twenty minutes, and the Yorkshire Dales are pretty much on your doorstep. Adacent to the park are a fly fishery with a well stocked trout lake and riding stables offering pony trekking and riding lessons.

Castlerigg Hall caravan and camping park is located in quiet countryside overlooking Derwentwater with panoramic views of the surrounding fells. Formerly a Lakeland hill farm, Castlerigg Hall has been sympathetically developed into a quality touring park providing a wide range of modern facilities. Many of the park facilities, such as "the Campers Kitchen", "Campers Store" and the "Hungry Hiker" breakfast tearoom, are barn conversions which have retained a unique Lakeland feel with oak beams, slate floors and old farming memorabilia. The screened campfield is level and sloping and has some views of Bassenthwaite lake. Our location, 1 mile from Keswick, is the ideal base to explore the Central Lake District with many scenic walks available directly from the site. A family run park, Castlerigg Hall caters for families and couples only.

Lanefoot Farm Campsite is a peaceful site in a picturesque setting, between Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater, with panoramic views of the surrounding fells. Superb walks / cycle rides directly from the site. The C2C route passes our door! The campsite has toilets, showers, washing up facilities, electricity hook up, and a play area for the children. Well behaved dogs are permitted on site. Camp fires are allowed on the meadow field by arrangement. The Meadow Field has some mature tree screening, and is divided into seperate areas by the meadow flowers and grasses which grow there. It presents a more secluded and natural camping area, with views towards Barrow, Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range. The Open Field is an open field, with views towards Skiddaw, the Helvellyn range, and Lords Seat. It presents an open camping area, with plenty of room for everyone. Each field is approximately 2 acres in size.

The site rule of "No noise after 10.30pm" is in keeping with the wonderful location of this family run site, all visitors are advised of this rule before deciding to stay. Located at the foot of Walla Crag Castlerigg Farm is in a particular beautiful and quiet part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing. With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Run by the Harrison family since the early 1920s the site provides modern amenities which include power showers, heated washrooms, laundry room and shop. The "Hayloft Cafe" which opened in 2008 offers full English breakfasts and evening meals. Hook-up points are provided for caravans or motor homes and can be booked in advanced. Sorry, no reservations can be made for camping. A site for families, e.g. mum,dad, and children or couples on their own. Sorry, but due to our "10.30pm No Noise" rule we do not allow groups on site.

Park Cliffe is a family run park is located within four miles of Bowness on Windermere, at the very centre of the Lake District - in spectacular open and unspoilt countryside set in 25 acres with unrivalled, breathtaking views. The site is a woodland haven promising peace, tranquility and relaxation. Skelwith's 130 acre estate of unspoilt woodland is home to an abundance of wildlife including deer, red squirrels, badgers, tawny owls and woodpeckers.

In the heart of the Dovedale Valley, surrounded by Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield and with Brotherswater nearby, Sykeside is an inspiring location for camping, offering stunning views wherever you pitch. The site has been carefully laid out to blend with the breathtaking surroundings and provides a wide variety of locations for camping across the Park. Our aim is to keep Sykeside a very natural place and we pride ourselves on its true 'outdoor' feel. Sykeside has all the facilities associated with a modern campsite. The shower and toilet facilities are well located and are regularly cleaned to ensure a high standard is maintained. Shaving sockets and power points are available in the facility. Our well stocked shop caters for the majority of campers basic needs with groceries, camping equipment and supplies, maps and guides, etc. The facilities of the Brotherswater Inn, within the site grounds on the A592, complement those of the Park and are available to our customers.

Burns Farm Camping and Caravan Park is near Keswick in the Lake District. A family run Caravan and Campsite with modern facilities in a quiet location midst the heart of Lakeland, paramount in Lake District camping. We are located in the beautiful valley of St. John's-in-the-Vale about 1/2 a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. It's just over a mile walk to the nearest eating place in the delightful Village of Threlkeld, and approximately 3 miles to the pretty market Town of Keswick. The site is surrounded by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing in the idyllic setting, 'or' if you are more adventurous, we are ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding, and all the other attractions in the North Lakes. From your pitch you will get spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of Blencathra, Skiddaw, and Helvellyn. We are within easy reach of Sca Fell and the near-by Lakes of Derwentwater, Ullswater and the majestic Lakeland scenery of Bassenthwaite and Braithwaite.

Watch the sun rise over England's largest lake and enjoy the magnificent views across the water to Wansfell Pike and The Fairfield Horseshoe. Situated on the western shore of Windermere, Low Wray is the perfect base for a whole range of outdoor activities. There are opportunities for gentle walks and great off-road biking from the campsite. The quiet country lanes will also prove attractive to cycle tourers. Low Wray is an ideal base for lovers of watersports including windsurfers, canoeists and dinghy sailors, with on-site access for launching ( no powered craft ) Caravans are not allowed at Low Wray but campervans are accepted although there are no hook-ups or Elsan points. Campers are accepted on a 1st come, 1st served basis only. Please note these important restrictions: In order to preserve the quiet nature of this site, parties of no more than 4 campers can be accepted unless you are a family group with children under 16 years of age. Organised groups and clubs such as scouts may book our group field in advance. New arrivals need to check in during reception opening hours. Please refer to website for details.

We are tucked in between the Lake District and the Pennines. The area is an attraction in its own right as well as giving easy access to the mountains and moors on either side. We are in a rain shadow area, so whatever you might expect in the Lake District, you'll get less here. Attractions for visitors vary from the highest mountain in England to the mighty Hadrian's Wall; and from museums such as the award-winning Tullie House at Carlisle to the unique and mind-boggling Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle, a French Chateau on the grandest scale in the middle of County Durham, filled with the most amazing collection of artefacts. And then there's the Rheged Visitor Centre at Penrith, a feast of Garden Centres, and a thriving local alpaca industry, not to mention the famous Settle-Carlisle railway line running through some of the most glorious scenery in the land. Tell us what interests you and we will help you to find it. Our Camp Site can accommodate up to 12 caravans, camper vans or tents. There are electric hook-ups and free Calor Gas powered showers on the site. A chemical toilet disposal point and a wash house with WC are available to campers. Unlike some sites, when we cut the grass we gather it up as well as possible so as to minimise it being trampled into your caravan. We are caravanners ourselves, and know the problems!

Gillside, is sited in an idyllic location for the perfect Camping and Caravaning holiday. A Lakeland farm that has been worked by the Lightfoot family for over 40 years. A site where you can easily view some of the work of a traditional Lakeland farm. Clinging to the side of one of the most scenic of lakeland dales, the reaches of Ullswater, are viewed spread below and along the valley. The nearby track that leads fell walkers to that magical and mighty summit Helvellyn, passes by the entrance to the farm. The village of Glenridding, which originally housed the miners from the disused Greenside mine, has a good selection of general food and gift stores, a National Park information centre, post office, cafes and restaurants, together with a variety of hotel and picturesque public bars -just 5 minutes walk away, beside the shores of Ullswater. Facilities provided for your comfort include a constant supply of hot and cold water in the toilet block. The farm are happy to supply our visitors with fresh eggs and milk.

Herdwick Croft is set in 300 acres of grass and woodland bounded by the river derwant and bassenthwaite lake. The farm bustles with wildlife and the area is a birdwatchers paradise,with the bassenthwaite ospreys nesting only 3 miles away and can often be seen from the farm fishing in the lake and river.Otters are re-establishing themselfs on the lake and are a rewarding sight for early risers;Red squirrels are regular visitors to the feeders on the site The main touring pitches are located on the top of a south facing bank with views of Skiddaw and offer hard standings and electric hookups.The modern toilet block houses free hot showers,washbasins,toilets and a laundry/pot wash room.

Situated in the Western Lake District, Inglenook Caravan Park is 10 - 15 drive away from Loweswater, Buttermere and Crummock water. This is an area of contrasts with beautiful beaches, high mountains, tranquil lakes and gentle valleys. The area is a must for those enjoying the great outdoors with walking, climbing, cycling and fly fishing among the most popular passtimes. The C2C cycle route and Wainwrights Coast to Coast Walk pass nearby.

Situated at the head of the majestic Great Langdale Valley and guarded by the dominating Langdale Pikes, this campsite is a walker's and climber's dream come true. Fell walking routes include Bowfell, Crinkle Crags, The Langdale Pikes and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike. Raven Crag, Gimmer Crag and White Ghyll are just a few of the numerous rock climbing spots which line the valley floor, providing some of the most spectacular rock routes in the UK. Caravans are not allowed at Great Langdale but campervans are accepted although there are no hook-ups or Elsan points. Organised groups of no more than 20 and single sex groups of more than 6 are welcomed by prior arrangement only. Clubs and organised groups may book the groups field in advance. Please note that there is a separate family field ,pitches for which are available on a first come, first served basis. All other campers are accepted on a 1st come, 1st served basis only.

This Park is for the discerning holidaymaker. We have no beer, no bingo, no disco, no swimming pool and no hooligans. We are the park you have been looking for if you do not require any of the above. It is what we do not offer that brings people back to us year after year, with their caravans, motor caravans and tents etc. Others who at one time were visiting tourists to the park have chosen to settle here for our season having purchased static holiday homes, so there must be something we offer that attracts them to the park. Could it be the friendly proprietors and their personal attention they give or the spotlessly clean toilet block with its constant supply of hot water to the wash basins and fully tiled individual showers, the peace and quietness of the park set in its rural surroundings? We just don't know what can be said that is detrimental to the park.

Fell End Caravan Park is an award-winning park, a woodland oasis of peace and tranquillity located in the Arnside and Silverdale 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' in the Southern Lake District. It's the ideal base for visiting the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Morecambe Bay. Twenty eight acres of meadow and woodland have been transformed at Fell End Caravan Park by landscaping with natural limestone, tree planting and the addition of flowering shrubs and bulbs to make Fell End into an ideal garden setting. Touring and motorhome pitches have hard standing and 'all-weather' awning bases. TV hook ups including selected satellite channels are available. Camping pitches are provided in a private area - guests can enjoy the use of all the site's facilities.
