In the heart of the Derbyshire Hills ancient drovers trails weave their way through the hills and valleys crossing the packhorse tracks passing close to the hamlet of Grindlow in the Peak District National Park. The landscape is moderately hilly with The Hope Valley cutting a swathe through the Derbyshire hills. Derbyshire Hills Campsite is a peaceful base to enjoy the natural beauty of the Derbyshire Hills and Dales or for the more energetic there are many spectacular walks ranging from the easy riverside stroll through to the more challenging hill walks. The campsite is fairly level and set in a quiet location, deep in the Derbyshire countryside surrounded by beautiful views over the hay meadows to the distant woods and hills. Grindlows close neighbour Eyam is the site of The 1665 Bubonic Plague... also known as The Black Death. There are many local places to eat which are welcoming and offer meals at realistic prices and cater for all ages. Camping at Derbyshire Hills Campsite is an ideal starting point for walking, mountain biking, hiking, over-nights and stop overs. We welcome tourers, tents and back-packers.Try us for sun and fun but remember this is a quiet camp ground.

Golden Valley Caravan and Camping Park is located in the beautiful hamlet of Golden Valley nestling along side the Cromford Canal, set in Amber Valley, the heart of Derbyshire. The park is set within 26 Acres of historic woodland which was once a thriving industry for coal, iron foundries and canal workers on the Cromford Canal. Amber Valley has many tranquil villages and bustling market towns nestled amongst some of the most beautiful scenery around. From historic houses and heritage sites, walking distance to steam trains (half price admission available to Midland Railway Centre), Britain Pit Farm, walking routes and quality factory shopping there's something for you. This secluded woodland hide away contains 24 super pitches for motor homes / caravans each having its own independent water supply, electric hook up point and mains drainage set in spacious bays within selected areas of the woodland. There is ample room for camping / tents also within the woodland. The site has an independent toilet / shower block, laundry room, Jacuzzi, gym, children's play room, outside play area, cafe, bar and wildlife pond.

Fieldhead Campsite is situated in Edale, a picturesque village at the start of the Pennine Way. The village has two public houses, two cafes and a post office / general store all within 500m of the site. The campsite is owned by the Peak District National Park Authority and is located at the Moorland / Visitor Information Centre. Tent pitches are spread over six fields with a separate family field and a small riverside field which is dedicated to backpackers only. There is a separate car park next to the camping fields which have no vehicle access ensuring a quieter, peaceful stay.

A Riverside Holiday Park for Caravans, Motorvans & Tents. We border Hope village in the beautiful Hope Valley, the heart of Derbyshire's Peak District National Park You can be assured of a warm welcome at Laneside. We take great pride in the quality of our amenities and standards of housekeeping. Over the last two seasons we have installed entirely new shower facilities with two centrally heated power shower blocks (8 showers & changing cubicles in addition to the 2 showers in our smaller block. These have been described by many of our customers as "The best showers we've seen on any park."We also have a new (2007) dedicated disabled shower, loo and handbasin block with RADA key entry. Washing up facilities are similarly impressive - all new - with 6 double sided sinks in an attractive sheltered block. The home page has a full listing of other amenities. We are frequently asked if there are any plans to have a club on site. - No, and there never will be one. We live in one of the loveliest places in Britain and cater for people who want to enjoy the countryside. Anyhow a big advantage we have is the nearness of Hope village - where you have a super choice of real-ale country pubs with excellent food.
